About
Hi, let me introduce myself and give you a bit of background and talk about what this blog will be.
I’m a guy who was captivated by music from as far back as I can remember. In the fifties I listened to rockabilly, soul, rhythm and blues, gospel and country. Then like millions got into rock and roll thanks to Elvis and the rest of that era’s rockers. Then the Stones and Beatles and the road led onward and followed the winding road and like the Grateful Dead so aptly put it “what a long strange trip it’s been.”
I have played in bands, been an agent, been a manager, a promoter, a concert hall manager, a publicity man, newspaper writer, contributor to various web sites including Hollywood Hangover and author with one book under my belt. I’ve interviewed people, been interviewed, and have enjoyed all of it and hope to share some stories and various subjects with all of you.

My time in Hollywood spanned the late sixties, the seventies, eighties and nineties and that was on a “come to Hollywood on business” type thing. I was there with bands, pitching demo tapes, and generally absorbing the atmosphere and lifestyle.

I also worked the Pacific Northwest from Vancouver B.C. to San Francisco as the music scene was very much alive up and down the coast. I also spent a good deal of time in Colorado, Texas, Michigan, Illinois and Florida. A literal crisscrossing of the USA as many of us have done.
So with that said I’ll throw the blog open to you for comments, suggestions, questions and observations and I’ll begin with a story about Jimi Hendrix; a man of music.
